The Story Behind Upcycled for Hope

Upcycled for Hope: Turning Textile Waste into Beautiful Products for a Cause

If you're new here, Upcycled for Hope is a brand that's owned and operated by De Leo Textiles. As a company, we're committed to sustainability and social impact, and that's why we started Upcycled for Hope.

At De Leo Textiles, we saw firsthand the problem of textile waste in the home furnishings industry. We were constantly surrounded by beautiful fabrics and materials, but we noticed that for every new season, there were bins upon bins of leftover fabric samples and showroom materials that were being thrown away. It was such a waste, and we knew we had to find a way to use all this excess fabric.

So our team started brainstorming and wanted to find a way to use all this excess fabric to make something meaningful. Our Creative Director has a passion for fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and realized that she could use her resources to help raise money for this nonprofit that is close to her heart. And that's when Upcycled for Hope came to fruition - a brand that could turn waste into something beautiful while supporting a great cause.

As Upcycled for Hope gained momentum, we saw an opportunity to raise money for additional causes that are meaningful to our team. We now proudly donate monthly to both the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Epilepsy Foundation, two causes making a big impact. To date we have donated over $50,000 to these nonprofits. As a company, we're proud to say that Upcycled for Hope has become a part of the solution to the problem of textile waste. By turning waste into something beautiful, we're helping to reduce the amount of fabric that ends up in landfills and polluting our environment. And by supporting organizations like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Epilepsy Foundation, we're making a difference in the lives of people who need it most. We're so grateful to have the opportunity to create a brand that's committed to sustainability and social impact, and we're excited to continue growing and expanding our reach, so that we can make an even bigger impact on the world.
